Col. Jeffery A. Gould

 

 

Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey A. Gould is the Commander of the 151 Operation Group, evaluator pilot and member of the Utah Air National Guard at Roland R. Wright Air National Guard Base, Salt Lake City UT.

Lieutenant Colonel Gould is a 1998 graduate of Jackson Heights High School, Holton, Kansas.  He enlisted in the Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic Fabrication Technician September of 1998. In June of 1999, he was quickly selected to attend the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School, where upon completion he was selected to attend the Air Force Academy. Lieutenant Colonel Gould earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies from the United States Air Force Academy in 2004, a Masters of Business Administration from American Military University in 2014 and a Masters in Military Operations and Science from Air Command and Staff College in 2018, Maxwell AFB, Alabama. 

Lieutenant Colonel Gould was commissioned as second lieutenant in June 2004 and while serving as a Public Affairs Officer at Cheyenne Mountain Complex was selected to attend Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin Air Force Base (AFB) Texas. After earning his wings, he attended KC-135 Pilot Initial Qualification at Altus AFB, Oklahoma and was then assigned to the 905th Air Refueling Squadron (ARS) at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota as a KC-135 Mobility Pilot. Lieutenant Colonel Gould then attended the USAF Weapons Instructor Course (WIC) in 2011 and graduated as a Weapons Officer in the KC-135 with a follow-on assignment to the 909th ARS, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. During his 4 years with the 909th ARS, he was assigned as an Air Advisor to the Afghan Air Force, advising, flying and instructing as an instructor pilot in the C-208 with duties at Shindand AB, Shindand, Afghanistan. After completing his tour with the 909th ARS Lieutenant Colonel Gould was selected to teach at the USAF WIC as his final assignment on Active Duty.  Lieutenant Colonel Gould became a member of the Utah Air National Guard April or 2016 and has served in various roles including Chief of Wing Plans. From November 2019 to December 2022  Lieutenant Colonel Gould served as the KC-135 Test Director for the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Test Center. In May 2023, Lieutenant Colonel Gould assumed command of the 151st Operations Group.
