151st Wing Environmental Management System (EMS) Supporting mission readiness through environmental stewardship

The 151st Wing Environmental Management System (EMS) directly supports mission readiness by ensuring operations are conducted safely, responsibly, and in compliance with federal, state, Department of Defense, and Air Force environmental requirements. Guided by Air Force Policy Directives 90-8 and 32-70, the program integrates environmental considerations into daily operations while maintaining the Wing’s ability to execute its mission at full capacity.

Environmental stewardship is a shared responsibility across the Wing. Through risk management, compliance programs, and continuous improvement efforts, the EMS empowers Airmen at every level to minimize environmental impact, reduce risk, and protect both the installation and the surrounding community.

Why it Matters

The Environmental Management System ensures the 151st Wing can train, operate, and deploy without interruption while maintaining compliance and protecting the environment. By reducing risk, preserving resources, and strengthening community trust, the program directly enables mission success today and preserves operational capability for the future.

NOISE COMPLAINTS

Please review the Roland R Wright Air National Guard Base Noise Complaints Policy before filing a complaint.

VIEW POLICY HERE

The purpose of the noise complaint system is to assist the 151st Wing in maintaining compliance with FAA flight regulations and base standard operating procedures to minimize the effects of noise on neighboring communities. This system supports open communication between the base and the community, ensuring that both public and Air National Guard interests are considered.

The noise complaint system is not intended as a forum for general objections to aircraft noise, the Air National Guard, or the military. Filing a complaint will not alter the flight paths, modify operating hours, or relocate KC-135R aircraft to another location. As an active-duty refueling wing, flight operations at Roland R Wright Air National Guard Base are conducted in support of national defense requirements, and noise will inevitably occur when aircraft are in operation.

If you believe an incident was unusual or may have violated specific directives or policies, click here to file a complaint.
