UT ANG receives new State Command Chief
Chief Master Sgt. Michael Edwards accepted the sword from the Director of the Utah National Guard's Joint Staff, Brig. Gen. Kenneth L. Gammon, and assumed position as the new State Command Chief of the Utah Air National Guard during a ceremony at the Utah ANG base, April 6. In the passing-of-the-sword ceremony, the sword represents the duties and responsibilities of the State Command Chief Position. Edwards was formerly the State Human Resources Advisor and assumed position from State Command Chief Master Sergeant Denise Rager, who formally retired immediately after the passing-of-the-sword ceremony. Edwards is now the top enlisted service member in the Utah Air National Guard. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Master Sgt. Gary Rihn)(RELEASED)
