151st ARW's website places third in 2011 NGB Media Contest Published March 3, 2012 By Senior Airman Lillian Harnden 151 ARW/PA SALT LAKE CITY -- The 151st Air Refueling Wing's website recently took third place in the 2011 National Guard Bureau's Media Contest. The 151st ARW website was created in 2008 by the wing's public affairs office, and was one of the first official ANG websites created through the new Air Force Public Information Management System, also known as AFPIMS. AFPIMS has become the standard website management system for all Air Force Active Duty, Reserve and Guard websites. The wing's website is a collaborative effort of all members of the public affairs office. "If there was one category in this year's media contest that I wanted to win, it was the website category because our entire unit's contributions are showcased here," explained Maj. Krista DeAngelis, Chief of Public Affairs for the 151st ARW, Utah ANG. "My staff works very hard every month to document the wing's mission and people through stories, photos and video, so I'm very happy their efforts have been recognized by NGB." The NGB Media Contest recognizes Army National Guard ANG public affairs for outstanding achievement in furthering the objectives of the DoD Internal Information Program. The NGB Media Contest is the only DoD dual-service contest. This year, Arizona and Michigan took the top two website honors for the ANG. According to DeAngelis, her staff hopes to take first prize in 2012.
